In these difficult times of full-scale war in Ukraine, it is important to remember that every positive event is a source of inspiration and has a special value, serving as a vivid testimony to our resilience and indomitability. For this reason, we are proud to announce yet another confirmation of the high level of Ukrainian education at the international level.
On April 6, 2025, the world ranking of the TOP-100 best scientific schools and universities that provide the graduation of highly qualified specialists in the field of medicine and pharmacy according to CEOWORLD Magazine was published. We are pleased to inform you that the Department of Industrial Pharmacy of the Faculty of Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design (KNUTD) occupies an honorable 61st place in this ranking. For the third year in a row, we have maintained this position in this ranking and are once again the only representative among higher education institutions (HEIs) from Ukraine, ahead of well-known scientific and educational institutions from Canada, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and other countries.
The ranking is based on seven key quality criteria: academic reputation, admission requirements, specialization, global reputation and impact, annual tuition fees, research activity and student satisfaction. To determine these indicators, data from publicly available sources, official websites of institutions, as well as information on ratings and awards from reputable national and international publications, student-faculty ratio, level of competition for admission, graduation rates, tuition fees, availability of financial aid, availability of accreditation, etc. were used.
This achievement is not only a confirmation of stable work and consistently high quality of training of specialists, but also a well-deserved recognition of many years of educational and scientific activity of the department's staff. Training at the Department of Industrial Pharmacy of the KNUTD is carried out taking into account the requirements of the labor market on the basis of the latest practice-oriented approaches to training in an active research environment using modern analytical and technological equipment. From the first year of study, students can participate in scientific work and conduct a wide range of research in the specialized educational and scientific laboratory of molecular pharmacology, chemogenomics and biogerontology (NNL MFKHB).

The team of scientific and pedagogical workers of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy of KNUTD constantly strives to improve and adhere to current educational trends that meet the requirements of modernity and the demands of the labor market. To this end, two new educational and professional programs (EPP) were introduced in 2024:
- "Innovative Pharmaceuticals" for the first (bachelor's) level of higher education;
- "European Cosmeceuticals" for the second (master's) level of higher education.
These 2 unique OPPs are developed taking into account modern trends in the pharmaceutical and perfumery and cosmetic industries and are based on the recommendations of employers, and each of them has a separate website and is harmonized with the educational programs of leading specialized European universities (Università di Bologna, Italy), which opens up prospects for participation and internships in research projects and academic mobility programs abroad.
The staff of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy actively conducts scientific and practical master classes and intensive "KyivOpenLab" for schoolchildren and college students with the aim of career guidance and involvement in scientific research. These events allow young people to get acquainted with modern scientific achievements and gain practical skills in the field of pharmaceuticals and cosmeceuticals.

The team of scientific and pedagogical workers of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy of KNUTD has extensive experience in building effective cooperation with leading chemical-pharmaceutical and cosmetic enterprises of Ukraine in numerous joint educational and scientific projects. In particular, within the framework of many years of cooperation with the leader of the pharmaceutical market of Ukraine - JSC "Farmak" - in 2024, the first educational and scientific HUB of JSC "Farmak" in Eastern Europe was created at KNUTD "Innovative Pharmaceuticals". Dozens of specialists and masters who have been trained at the Department of Industrial Pharmacy of KNUTD are successfully working in well-known Ukrainian and foreign pharmaceutical production and enterprises specializing in the production of cosmetics, and have already proven themselves as best as possible.
Confirmation of the high level of scientific activity of the department is the regular publication of the results of scientific research by scientific and pedagogical workers and higher education students of the department in leading professional publications of Ukraine and journals that are indexed in the Scopus scientometric database and have practical significance and international recognition.

These are just some of the achievements of the staff of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy of the KNUTD, which, however, are undeniable evidence that even in the most difficult moments of our history, we are able not only to maintain high standards of education and science, but also to maintain stability and dedication to our work, providing high-quality training of specialists for the pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical industries, capable of meeting the highest requirements of both the national and international labor markets.
